Shinto Zaagvijl Rasp L (Houten Handvat)

Let's face it, proper hand stitched rasps are really expensive. The price of this one makes it look a bit like a "poor man's" option but the quality of work I can produce with it is superb. I work in White Oak and Ash mainly but this worked just as well with other woods (hard and soft). You have to learn how to use it but once mastered, this really is a great choice. You will need to clean up afterwards with some sandpaper or a mill file but that's the same with any rasp. I can't recommend it enough. Treat yourself.

We saw a woodworker use this rasp on a YouTube video and decided we needed one. It is a great tool! I carve spoons and it has been very handy! The blades are very sharp and can really remove wood! The saw rasp is very sturdy and well built.

This looks like a well made rasp, two different sides. Haven't used it as yet Haven't had a need too.

This is probably one of the best woodworking tools I have ever bought. It has been highly recommended by Paul Sellers and many others on Youtube, so I finally thought that I had better have one. I am not disappointed. The finish I get with it is so much better than I expected, leaving very little filing and sanding to do. Well worth the money!

I bought this to trim horse hooves at the suggestion of a farrier friend. It is easy to wield and does an exemplary job!
