These swabs work very well. They don't shred like typical cotton swabs and the plastic shaft is durable. The shaft is flexible which might not be helpful in some applications but in others it might be quite useful. I bent one into a U shape and it did not break or remain permanently contorted. This is useful if you want to clean something where a bend or turn is required.I've used them to remove dust from a printer and the ports in my Yamaha MSP5 speakers. I've also used them to clean the humidifier water tank of my CPAP machine. Even when using distilled water, you can still get a buildup of deposits in the bottom. White vinegar did a good job of loosening them but a few swipes with one of these swabs finished the job without leaving any of itself behind.The tip can be cleaned after use. One was black after doing some dusting but a little soap and water cleaned it right up and after drying it was ready for another job. I imagine that for some really nasty jobs I'll want to trash them immediately but it's nice to know that the tip can hold up to some cleaning and reuse.This is a tough little swab.

I have started messing about with retro computer equipment. Cotton buds and alcohol are must for cleaning up that kind of stuff. Sometimes though, I need something a bit bigger than a normal cotton bud. These foam swabs are 'just the ticket'.They are absorbent and durable with just the right amount of friction for cleaning. It shouldn't need saying but they are real foam too (not all the swabs that claim to be foam actually use foam).The dimensions are exactly as described and price seems good too

I am an amateur gunsmith and am always looking for things that make processes easier, so when I saw these SHIYETA 5.1" Foam Cleaning Swabs on Amazon Vine I ordered them. Firearms are just machines, and all machines work better when they are clean and properly serviced. Some swabs leave little fibers, which are as bad as dirt, and some swabs can't tolerate solvents and lubricants. These SHIYETA have so far been just fine. No fibers or torn pieces to pick out, and the solvents and chemicals I use don't seem to cause a problem. I also had occasion to rebuild a windshield wiper motor on an antique car and these swabs worked well in cleaning up the electrical parts. I like 'em!

If you're needing a set of foam swabs these are fairly decent. The foam is soft and not scratchy at all. It also holds liquid very well should you need to dip it in alcohol or other cleaning solution. The heads also appear to be on tightly as well as I tried pulling the head off after it had been soaking in alcohol for a bit and the head stayed on with no issues.These should work great for cleaning electronic components, hobby models, small buttons on a device, etc.. The product photos the manufacture posted though also show them being used to clean a camera sensor and mirror. I personally would not these on my camera unless they were flat. If you look at my photos you'll see that there is a seam around the head where it appears the two foam pieces were sewn together. The corners where they round the edges are a little pointy and scratchy as well as a bit scratchy right at the seam. For me this doesn't make them usable for that sensitive of equipment where you're trying to use the top of the head. I'll stick to a lens pen for that type of work. For everything else though I think these will work fine in my kit of stuff.
