Rated to 20A. Bought to power up my fridge in campervan - (dometic cfx95 10.4A, 3m length from leisure battery) - this requires 4mm2 cable. The supplied spade connectors are too small, I'd say will accommodate 2.5mm2 cable max. No biggie, will just need to buy an appropriate pack. Be mindful of this when purchasing as unless your wirr to the socket is very short, the supplied spade connectors will be too small for your wire!

My original BMW power socket had broken away from its position, and couldn't be fixed except at great cost. This item answered all my worries, and at a substantially reduced cost compared to OEM parts!So, fitting was inevitably a bit awkward, because you have to get behind the trim to tighten up the retaining ring. I also chose to add my own large washer as an additional back support. My original wiring loom had a fixed plug in a 'T' arrangement rather than two parallel blades, so I had to make a short adapter cable using the supplied wires. Be careful to connect your wires or connecting block with the correct polarity though. To help with this 'positive' and 'negative' blades on this item are clearly marked. Then remember before putting everything together, to pass all wires etc, through the washers, retaing ring etc, before you tighten everything up!It was worth the effort though, as I now have a firm power socket, at a fraction of the cost of an original replacement. I have no hesitation in recommending this item to anybody who needs such a replacement.

Just what I was after, a nice sturdy piece of kit to put electric in the rear of my van for a spot light.With Heavy weight wires and a inline fuse included in the kit you can't go wrong.Extremely handy and has been used a lot since being installed 5*
