Me encanta este lente, es muy versatil, ya que puedes tomar fotos cubriendo mucho paisaje con su distancia focal de 18mm (en mi camara ASP-C es de aprox 27mm) y te permite hacer acercamientos geniales, con sus 300mm que en las camaras APS-C equivale a 450mm aprox. La aberración cromatica es muy poco y la distorción es fácil de elimiar en el revelado.

Lens is robust and solidly built. Will take awhile to get used to the weight. Have not had opportunity to use it in the field yet, but preliminary tests at home yielded excellent results. Reviews were great for a lens of this zoom span; appears to be a ground breaker. Believe this will be the only lens I shall need for 90% of my (amateur) shooting. Unquestionably a good investment. Happy camper.

Admittedly, I purchased mine for £275 from Amazon warehouse so got it for quite a good price. The lens is very well made, smooth to operate, feels very robust and takes great photos. It also comes with a slim hood that you don't really notice when it's on the lens.It's important to remember that this is an all-round lens so there will be some things people won't like. Towards 300mm you get slight vignetting but is easy to fix in Lightroom using the lens profile correction tool. The lens also has some chromatic aberration in bright light but again, can be remedied in Lightroom. The manual focus ring only rotates about a third, so doesnt really give you much control. These things don't really bother me but it's worth mentioning.In my opinion, this lens is a great addition to any kit. It's a lot better than the stock 18-55mm lenses that usually come with canon cameras- so in that respect, you can't go wrong really. This is the lens I use most of the time for its practicality. It allows me to take photos around the city and snap wildlife photos quickly as there's not the need to keep changing lenses all the time. Another thing I really like is the macro facility. You can zoom in to 300mm and focus on something that's approx. 40cm away and take some stunning close up shots of insects.A great addition.

El lente tiene buena calidad, su óptica es buena, es muy ligero y práctico, sin embargo no es un 300mm, anexo dos Fotos la primera con el Sigma a 300mm y la segunda en 200mm con un Canon 70-200 mm y podrán apreciar que las fotos son prácticamente idénticas, por lo que el máximo zoom del Sigma equivale a 200 mm de un Canon. Lo conservaré pues me justo que es muy ligero y usándolo conjuntamente con un extender 2X funciona como un 36-400mm lo cual sigue siendo muy práctico (aunque pierdo 2 stops)

Faccio molte foto di viaggio, ed ho sempre usato un 17-70 Sigma e un 70-300 Tamron, con necessità di cambi continui d'obiettivo. Poi ho avuto un problema al Tamron, e ho deciso di sostituirlo con il 18-300 Sigma. Ho risolto tutti i problemi di manipolazione degli obiettivi. Inoltre il 18-300 è compatto e non troppo pesante (poco più grande del 17-70 sigma), quindi non ci sono problemi di peso e maneggevolezza. Per foto di viaggio, trovo che la qualità della resa fotografica sia comunque alta. Ho ottenuto buoni risultati anche con foto ravvicinate semi macro, e in qualche ritratto a focale tra 70 e 100mm.Il rapporto qualità/prezzo mi pare eccellente. Per ora non ho punti negativi da segnalare.
