this is a brilliant bit of kit if like me you like to keep track of what where and how you have done while out and about on your bike it lets you put in all kinds of info from time you have ridden for to the weather conditions to your cadence for the ride . Would highly recommend this

Wenn man - wie ich - zu faul ist, die Daten jeweils von Hand zu übertragen, dann ist diese Docking-Station ein ideales Helferlein: einfach nach der Radtour den Tacho einlegen, Daten importieren - fertig!So ganz nebenbei hat man auf die Art noch ein Backup seiner Fahrtdaten, falls sich der Tacho verabschiedet oder auch nur der Akku seinen Geist aufgibt.

Ist ein tolles System, ich kann jetzt täglich meine Touren einlesen und habe eine Statistik. Weiterhin sind meine Tacho-Einstellungen so gespeichert, dass auch eine leere Batterie kein Problem mehr ist. Doof fand ich, dass zu dem Teil noch eine kostenpflichtige Software gehört, damit es tut. War zwar mit 10 EUR nicht die Welt, aber das war beim Kauf nicht zu sehen. Ich hätte das gerne als Bundle gekauft oder zumindest einen Hinweis erwartet, dass ich noch einkaufen muss

I'm pretty geeky about my bike. I spent some time designing and putting together a custom rear cassette so my gear ratios are exactly as I want them. With Shimano HG gears, this is not hard, but requires care and attention as all the cogs teeth are different and intended to shift from certain tooth profiles onto other tooth profiles. It required some metalwork, math and testing to get what I wanted, but now I have perfect gears. Nothing to do with this product, but it tewlls you a little about me to give context to this review. In theory, a device that lets me download my cycle data onto my PC seems like geek heaven and I want in!First things first, this is just a USB link for your Sigman BC. You need the Sigma computer, AND you need to buy the Sigma Data Center (sic) software. The software is E9.99 but this dongle comes with a 50% voucher so it's only E4.98. Not bad at all. Installation is pretty straightforward, but on my PC, using the dongle as instructed means it doesn't work. Insert the kike computer into the docing station, plug the docking station into your PC, then start the software. The software is way more basic than you'd imagine and is unimpresive. You can't see the full data of your trip, only the end and peak data. Well the Sigma bike computer keeps pretty good records in itself for trips and totals, so apart from a somewhat uninformative graph, the software adds next to no value for me. A PROBLEM with the software, is that unlike every other piece of commercial software I have, this one does not scale in size. So on my hi-res setup, it's a pokey little window with tiny text. You can't re-size the window to fill the screen. I'm not kidding!I thought it would be interesting to see my stats on the PC, but in reality, with the BC1609 it really isn't. If I had a more serious bike computer, one that also logged gradients and heart-rate, this software would be more use. Maybe I'm not quite serious enough about my cycling, but if I were you, I would think twice before splashing out on this unless you have a top end Sigma computer.
