I have been using silicone release paper for years restoring books. I use one larger piece as a base and then glue rice paper to replace missing pieces. I place a second piece of silicone paper over the glued area and then use a hot tacking iron over the second sheet to secure the rice paper to the original paper. The repair does not stick to either sheet. I was using paper from an archival supply house and would get multiple uses from a sheet. Recently they seemed to have changed the paper they supplied. It did not work past one or two uses. So I thought I'd take a chance on this silicone release paper. Yes, it is thinner than the paper I was used to. But, as it turned out this thinness was a real plus. My glued seals were much better. Flatter with a better seal. And the paper was able to be used over and over again before I began to notice some sticking. I am very pleased with this paper.

I had no idea about release paper until I researched repairing old paper documents and other items. Placing this paper underneath and on top of the document when repairing with heat-release gummed tissue tape or paper is essential, as nothing will stick permanently to the release paper, ensuring that the document is repaired and not ruined further. I believe this paper can be used to 'carry' stickers, which can be easily peeled off and used.

Wished the pieces of paper were larger. I have never used similar products so I really did not know what to expect.
