The grinding stone is exactly what I was looking for. Arrived in perfect condition and started sharpening my kitchen knifes straight away. Found the size of the stone very adequate and the double coarse/middle grinding options really useful. For someone with similar needs as mine (non-professional and non-frequent use), I highly recommend it.

Aquistato per sgrossare pialle e scalpelli direi che fa il suo dovere. Non è specificato il tipo di grana, comunque una piú fine e uno piú aggressiva. Si consuma velocemente quindi conviene sfruttare tutta la superficie per evitare che si deformi. A questo prezzo non troverete di meglio.

Have used for knives, shears, spade and a few other garden implements. Works well. Can use with or wothout oil. There is noticeable wear on the block so not at good as the old fashioned carborundum stones. But will still do me for several years of use maintaining garden tools. Good value as well
