I have this to extend a chime that is in a different section of the house. I did observe, sometimes it misses the chime, I think this is because the doorbell button charges the circuit and it's possible it doesn't charge enough in a momentary press.This is pretty loud and easy to locate with the mounting options. There's also a belt clip, which could be useful when working in the yard. Some of the tones in my opinion are too long, but there are 34 to choose from. Including some catchy ringtones almost everyone knows. Or, if you want, a dog bark to scare folks away.
