2RS is a contact seal and they are quite hard to spin, 2Z is a non contact seal and easy to spin. The difference in an Electric hub motor is clear. The speed on an E scooter drops 2 MPH and range 2 miles using 2RS compared with 2Z.The 2RS is a much better seal however and will last longer than 2Z however is much harder to spin.
