ik heb het apparaat geïnstalleerd, en kan het bedienen met mijn Samsung telefoon maar ook met mijn Samsung watch. ik kan de twee kanalen onafhankelijk van elkaar aan en uitzetten met een stemopdracht naar mijn watch! Wel maakte ik me zorgen over de duurzaamheid van het product gelet op een aantal recensies. Ik heb ChatGPT geraadpleegd, en heb daarop besloten om in de loop van september het apparaat af te koppelen, het te ontkalken met 50% schoonmaakazijn en 50% water, dit vervolgens goed na te spoelen. Als de batterij onder de 50% is haal ik deze eruit in de winter en ik merk het apparaat op in huis. Ik overweeg nog een zwarte zak over de kraan te hangen waar het apparaat aan bevestigd is. Dit om UV straling te voorkomen maar ook vocht. in zijn algemeenheid vind ik het een fantastisch apparaat, ik combinatie met mijn Gardena irrigatie systeem, maar ik wil er graag wel vijf jaar mee doen!

been using it for over a year now. It works well, but 1 time the connection got lost outside. This happened to me on holiday, and the plants didn't get water for a good 2 weeks.

After 2 years it started to leak in / from the plastic cover. I first thought it was the connection to the hose, but after I removed all (hose)connections, it still leaked. Too bad, since it worked very well, the programs were easy and remote control (using internet) worked fine. 1 star for durability, 4 stars for the first 2 years ...

Product is useful and easy to install but after 3 months or so, one zone isn't working anymore.

This is a sturdy, high quality, long-lasting product. I have had it for over a year and it never fails. I haven’t yet had to change the battery.A couple of caveats.The water timer unit doesn’t link directly to your wifi - you have to plug a small hub unit into an electrical socket somewhere nearby inside your house (or at least under cover). In my case, the hub is separated from the timer by two brick walls and a distance of 20m and works just fine. They say that if wifi fails, the hub will talk to the timer via Bluetooth but I doubt that it will get through two walls and 20m…I have max 200Mb wifi in my home that just about reaches out to a spot behind a wall in the garden where the water control unit is set up. Speedtest on my phone reports a weak signal of about 2Mb on 5GHz (the unit uses the 2.5GHz band, so you need to have a dual band wifi system, which most are these days).The system uses the very good Smart Life app and is pretty easy to set up. You have a lot of flexibility in programming schedules and can even get an accessory that measures soil moisture, so you can schedule on that (I haven’t used that). You can also use the forecast for scheduling but I haven’t used that either.The two water out nozzles can be programmed completely differently.I have since bought a second, single output, water control unit from the same brand, for a different location in the garden, and it readily talks to the hub I set up for the first dual unit, appearing as a separate item in Smart Life.I often travel and can control the watering cycles wherever I am from my phone.
