I don’t know if I got a defective product or not but this cage moved side to side using the GoPro ears. I contacted customer service in regards to this issue. And they quickly sent out a replacement. I must say very nice product and really good customer service which is lacking these days. 5 stars to a great company.

Ich nutze meine Insta360 X4 mittlerweile intensiv für Actionaufnahmen und Vlogs – und da war klar: Ein solider Schutz muss her. Nach kurzer Recherche bin ich auf den SMALLRIG Cage 4278 gestoßen – und ich bin total zufrieden!+ Perfekte Passform:Die Kamera sitzt wie angegossen im Cage. Nichts wackelt, nichts klappert – die Verarbeitung ist wirklich hochwertig und passgenau.+ Schutz auf hohem Niveau:Der Käfig besteht aus Aluminium und schützt die Kamera zuverlässig vor Stößen, Kratzern und kleinen Remplern. Die beiliegende Silikon-Objektivabdeckung ist ein zusätzliches Plus – besonders praktisch beim Transport.+ Top durchdacht:Der integrierte Blitzschuh ist super, um z. B. ein Mikrofon oder eine kleine Leuchte zu befestigen. Und die 1/4"-20 Gewinde (inkl. Anti-Twist) ermöglichen eine flexible Montage auf Stativ, Halterung oder Selfiestick – ganz ohne Verdrehen.+ Keine Beeinträchtigung der Sicht:Trotz Käfig ist das Sichtfeld der X4 nicht beeinträchtigt – also perfekt für 360°-Aufnahmen. Die Konstruktion ist schlank und stört nicht im Bild.– Kleiner Hinweis:Das Einsetzen der Kamera ist anfangs etwas fummelig, aber wenn man den Dreh einmal raus hat, geht’s schnell. Lieber etwas enger als zu locker – schließlich soll die Kamera ja sicher sitzen.Fazit:Der SMALLRIG Cage 4278 ist für mich ein Pflichtkauf für alle, die ihre Insta360 X4 ernsthaft nutzen. Super Schutz, viele Montagemöglichkeiten und top Qualität – klare Kaufempfehlung!

The cage is great. It protects all of the edges, and still allows the lens cap to go on and off easily.It also allows access to the battery, charging port and all buttons.An easy to turn thumbscrew allows the cage to be removed easily, but I haven't found any reason to take off the cage yet.The cage also adds 3x quarter-twenty - one on each side and on the bottom, a cold show, and even a flip-down metal GoPro mounting connector, to be compatible with existing GoPro mounts.Only two problems:(1) with the cage on the camera, it no longer fits in the zippered case that came with the camera. SmallRig should include one, or at least sell one.(2) using the Power Selfie Stick with this cage makes the power cable too short to reach.
