SMALLRIG L Bracket voor Canon R6 Mark II / R5 / R5 C / R6-4160

De bracket past perfect. Ik had eerst mijn twijfels over het deel bij de batterij deur. De R5 is van zichzelf al erg groot en licht lekker in de hand. Ik heb geen hele grote handen, maar toch is het verschil erg groot. Met de bracket is de grip vele male better. Er ligt een groter oppervlakte in mijn handpalm en mijn pink komt precies op de bracket te liggen. Het voelt heel erg fijn. Vooral bij het gebruik van zwaardere lenzen zoals de RF 15-35 f2.8 voelt de balans veel beter.Onderop zit nog een tool om de schroef te verstellen, deze lijkt goed vast te zitten met magneetjes. De tijd zal uitwijzen of het goed blijft zitten. Ik had eerlijk gezegd liever de tool gezien zoals je bij de R5 cage krijgen met een imbus uiteinde. Daarmee had je de zijkant er dan ook nog af kunnen halen.Ook mis ik een goede (online) handleiding met uitleg en compatibiliteit met andere Smallrig producten. Op de onderkant zit nog een aparte vorm, een soort haak die ergens in zou moeten schuiven, maar ik heb geen idee wat dit doet.

Reading the comments, I saw that some people complained they have to take the bracket off to open the battery door on the Canon R6II. It can be easy to miss but there's a hinged section on the bracket that swings open to allow for battery removal. Great idea!

It Is an absolutely perfect fit for the R5. All the ports are accessible.The video below showing the wobble is user error. It needs to be clamped either side of the gap in the bracket, which it isn't in the video. There's a gap in the bracket to allow manipulation of the camera's LCD so of course it's going to wobble like that and no fault of the manufacturer. All the brands have this including RRS and 3 Legged Thing. Once clamped correctly, there is no wobble at all.It's still expensive for what it is but it'll live on my camera forever so I can live with it. I highly doubt more expensive brands (RRS's equivalent is ~£200 - ouch) will do anything better than this. Recommended.

Perfect fit for my R5. Full access to all the important ports and battery. Screen has full rotation. Fits securely to a medium sized Arca Swiss mounting plate in portrait and landscape. Great value.
