This is a good product - its quite small and light but certainly rugged enough for my purposes. It also works especially well with a Canon E2 hand strap.But I was going to return it until I read Gaffer's review comment about how to access the battery port - once you know the trick its quick and easy.Yes, I'd actually recommend this product.

Come ogni bracket Smallrig anche questo mantiene alta l'asticella della qualità e della versatilità nel videomaking. Si aggancia saldamente al fondo della R5 tramite i due piolini e la vite che si serra con la chiavetta inclusa, sempre a portata di mano sul fondo della piastra, la quale serve anche per i bulloncini a testa esagonale. È leggera e grava minimamente sul peso complessivo della R5 e si ha ogni attacco sia per altri accessori smallrig che per ogni tipo di piastra a sgancio rapido presente sul mercato. La parte di piastra laterale si può spostare di un paio di mm per accedere agli sportellini delle porte usb, hdmi ecc. Sempre questo pezzo di piastra ha un pezzo dei 4 lati "mancante" così che con una giusta manovra si fa entrare la cerniera del display così da poterlo orientare a piacimento e senza limiti entro i "monconi" del telaietto; invece aprendolo normalmente sarà semibloccato rimanendo con orientazione frontale fissa.Anche il vano batteria è facilmente accessibile avendo prima cura di aprire il piccolo gancetto sennò lo sportellino non ha spazio a sufficienza per sollevarsi.Ci sono i soliti fori filettati per montare qualsiasi tipo di accessorio e incluso c'è una pellicola per proteggere il display.
