Description:
SmallRig Rotating Side Handle with Trigger REC for Canon for Blackmagic Design Cameras 5235 is designed to provide a secure grip for seamless camera control. The handle features an integrated shutter control function and is compatible with NP-F550 / 570 batteries for extended power supply. The ergonomic handle, coated with silicone, ensures a comfortable grip for both hands and offers one-click, stepless rotation for fluid camera movement at any angle.
This handle integrates a REC button with a complimentary control cable to control recording. In addition, it allows for attaching NP-F550 / 570 batteries to the bottom, enabling charging of other devices or the handle itself using the USB-C IN / OUT ports. With a maximum input and output of 20W, it supports multiple fast-charging protocols including PD, QC, AFC, and FCP. The handle also incorporates 1/4""-20 threaded holes, a cold shoe mount, and a strap slot for attaching accessories like monitors, fill lights, and wrist straps.
Note:
1.The package does not include the NP-F550 or NP-F570 batteries. When using the SmallRig NP-F550 battery (ID: 4331 / 4791), remove the adaptor plate inside the handle.
2.NP-F550 / 570 batteries are required to enable control of series for Canon EOS and series cameras for Blackmagic Design's BMPCC. The operating power of EOS R5C for Canon and BMPCC 6K Pro for Blackmagic Design exceeds 20W, while the maximum output power of the handle is 20W, so it can not support the power supply for these models
3.When the remaining memory card space is low, the handle may not be able to control the camera recording function.

I'm a big fan of side handles, and I own a lot of them. This one from SmallRig is a great size, has a nice grip feeling, and is multi-functional.It comes with two usb-c ports, one supports the rec control and the other one provides the output/input for power delivery.Although its main purpose is to be used on the right, you can still use it on either side if you like.The PD output is a great helper in providing additional juice for your camera.For the rotating function, the mechanism works much better than the existing one from SmallRig. It's smooth and stable, and I haven't encountered any stuck so far.**Another note: if your camera is not on the REC support list, you can purchase any USB-C to shutter port cable to make the handle REC function work.

Der Griff funktiert leider nicht an der Canon R5C. Akku ist nicht enthalten, dieser muss separat erworben werden.Griff wurde mit der Kamera verbunden, zwei Sekunden die Start Taste gedrückt aber die Aufnahmefunktion bei der R5C funktioniert nicht.Verarbeitung und Qualität sind gewohnt super.Was kann der Grund dafür sein, das der Griff an der Canon R5C nicht funktioniert?Eventuell ein defekte Gerät?

Works on initial oliver up, then does not REC. Working with SmallRig tech support for a fix.

Well made handle, however the joint that allows for spinning is shaky and has a noticeable give when you're trying to tighten your grip on the camera. The button to allow for spinning occasionally sticks. Difficult to film with when the side handle is not secure and stable.For some reason, no matter what I do I cannot get the trigger to start filming when connected to my ZV-E1. With or without batteries this does not function with Sony based on my experience even though the instructions expressly say that it should work.May return this something cheaper.
