The Universal 15mm Shoulder Pad Support demonstrates a solid and sturdy construction, characteristic of SmallRig products. The NATO system enhances practicality by facilitating the attachment and adjustment of the shoulder mount and counterweight. Notably, the counterweight also serves as a plate to hold a battery adapter, although it's important to note that the battery adapter is not included.​The silicone cushioning provides a reasonable level of comfort during use and can be removed easily, thanks to its Velcro attachment to the metallic components. This feature allows for straightforward cleaning or replacement if necessary. The rig's compatibility with standard 15mm rods is excellent, offering seamless integration with existing equipment.​However, it's worth mentioning that the package does not include a V-mount battery adapter or a battery mount to secure the battery. Inclusion of such components would enhance the rig's balance and provide hot-swap capabilities (in case of double battery adapters), further improving its functionality.​Overall, this shoulder rig stands out as a robust and versatile piece of equipment.
