The first pair I received as I put one of the socks on my toe was stopped by a large loose loop inside the sock. It was a pulled piece of yarn that was about 1 inch in diameter. I examined both socks and the one sock had 2 loose loops inside while the other sock was fine. I returned that pair and got a new pair and the new pair looks good.These socks are wool but a type that’s soft and not scratchy. I have sensitive skin and some wools will irritate my skin and it will not only itch but my skin will turn pink. These smart wool socks are comfortable, and it’s nice to have wool socks especially in the winter. Right now at 11 am it’s 11 Fahrenheit and I’m running errands today so these socks will be on my feet!

These are by far my favorite winter socks; I hope smart wool never stops making them. They are so comfortable, stay in place and don’t fall down, hold their shape, and also somehow never smell. They hit at the perfect height for Chelsea boots.

These are the best socks. I love Smartwool, and although I own several pairs, these are my favorites. Well cushioned, comfortable, and nice looking, the quality is obvious. These are expensive, but very definitely worth it. They hold up really well: I often hike 3 or 4 miles a day, and they last a long time. I've had some for over a year and they still look great.

I like these a lot. I'm 33 and am just realizing how boring I have gotten, because I really get a lot of enjoyment from a good pair of socks. These provide a little compression in the right spots, fit well, and are very comfy. I got the purple color and didn't notice any color transfer to my other clothes. I will be purchasing the same style in full cushion next.
