This matte-black, 4-shelf shelving unit looks great and feels sturdy enough. It came on time and quickly. Once put together, I ordered another one.More info:-Color is matte black. It looks good. It reflects light, but is not shiny like vinyl.-There are only 6 wood pieces: 4 shelves and 2 sides. There are 16 black screws and a hex wrench provided to assemble these together. That assembly will likely take 15-25 mins. It also comes with some white straps + screws to fasten it to the wall.-The shelf is lightweight: 6 or 6.2 lbs. The 5/16” clear rubber feet are already installed. Assembled: H = 38 15/16”, the W and D are both 13”. All legs were the same height.-The shelf smells fine. (The last time I assembled a bamboo shelf, it had a strong smell of formaldehyde and I had to leave it outside for 2 weeks. If I put my nose very up close to this SMIBUY shelf I can smell it lightly, but at normal distances you cannot.)-The shelf seems sturdy. I cannot twist it more than a few millimeters. The slats are 7/8” wide. The spaces in between are 9/16” wide. For the 3 interior shelves, the front and back shelf openings are 11 ¾” wide and the side openings are 10 5/16” wide. The front and back openings for the shelves vary from 9 7/8” to 10 1/16” in height.Small things of much lesser import:-When I was near done turning one of the screws, I heard a crack. The screw was not all the way in and I could not see anything broken so I kept turning. Close to the bottom of the hole, the screw just turned in place but kept its grip holding the leg and shelf together solid. After closer inspection later I found a 1.5” hairline crack. The tan-colored bamboo interior was showing through. I covered it with a sharpie, but had to also use a fine tip sharpie since the crack was so small. Plus, I will face this crack toward the wall. (Note: Using the sharpie on the black paint noticeable up close, so try to minimize putting sharpie ink on the areas that are already black. I am now thinking that paint or pencil lead might work better if shelf cracks or gets marred.)-The shelf does show finger prints, but they easily wipe off.-The screw heads screw into a recess that is not fully painted black. There are also some hardly visible seams where the slats and the shelf ends meet that are not fully painted. Honestly if you have things on the shelf, no one will notice. It is not immediately noticeable when the shelves are empty. These non-issues can be easily eliminated with a sharpie, I am sure, but I don’t think they are that noticeable.-I likely won’t need to use the straps, but if I do, I will find some black ones instead of the white ones they came with. Also, the eyelets on the white straps are silver and the accompanying screws are light bronze. I will not use this mixture of colors if I need to attach the shelf to the wall.-Looking at the listing on AMZ. The first listed product dimensions are correct (13” x 13”), but not the second one (13” x 13.4”). The feet are clear, not black as shown in the pic labelled “non-stick rubber stoppers”.
