I have purchased big jars at TJMax Homegoods, & Wally, and for the most part, the jars are just fine but the lids are pitiful. The Smith's Jar comes with two lids, one metal and one plastic. Yes, the thickness of both the metal and plastic lids could be a better gauge, the bottom line is there good enough. I am happy with the product. The jar looks nice too. The opening is big enough to easily put my big thick hands through the opening with room to spare, so its easy to use and clean.

I'd had the SMITHS Mason jar recommended to me and it didn't disappoint. I got it to make my own kefir and it's perfect! Great size, great quality, great value for money and it looks great just sat on my kitchen counter top! 2 lids came with my order that are effective sealants, and the jar suits my requirements to a tee. It can prove a little difficult to clean as the kefir can cling to the bottom and sides of the jar, however, dampening kitchen roll, fitting it over a wooden spoon and working this into the base and sides of the jar leaves it like new again with very little effort. Very happy with this product. 5 stars!

Grande barattolo in vetro con ottima chiusura, ideale per conservare biscotti o altro. Veramente bello.

Good value, nice and solid, had no problem sitting it in hot water to infuse herbs, it came on time, I will certainly buy again, also had two covers.
