Von Ergon über SQLab bin ich nun bei einem Selle SMP Ledersattel gelandet. Und ich bin begeistert.Ein deutlich anderes Sitzgefühl im Vergleich zu den günstigeren Modellen von SMP, wie dem "TRK" oder dem "Well". Beim "Well" hatte ich das Problem, dass nach 20-30 Kilometern das Polster nachgibt und man etwas im Sattel versinkt, was zu unangenehmen Reibungen und Druckpunkten führte.Die Polsterung und der Lederbezug des Drakon bleiben auch über Stunden stabil. Anfangs noch etwas hart, gewöhnte ich mich nach ein paar Ausfahrten schnell an den Sattel. Nach ein paar Monaten kann ich ihn nun sogar mit einer Trägerhose ohne Polster (von "Everve") auf meinem MTB fahren.Die schmale, anatomisch auf das Becken abgestimmte Form und die große Aussparung zur Belüftung sorgen für ein angenehmes Sitzgefühl und wirken einem allzu schwitzigen Hintern entgegen.Ein kleiner Abzug ist das sehr präsente Logo an der Mitte der Rückseite. Dieses steht etwas hervor. Es drückte zu stark in meine große Satteltasche fürs Bikepacking und hinterließ unschöne Abdrücke. Da ich etwas Angst hatte dass es sich irgendwann durch das Material der Tasche bohrt, habe ich es abgeschnitten und die verbliebenen scharfen Schnittkanten abgeschmirgelt, was alles problemlos ging.

After a dozen saddle purchases and extensive road tests the SMP Drakon has become the only choice of saddle. The anatomical shape is perfectly fitted to my body. The Drakon offers just enough padding when coupled with quality bib shorts for me to ride all day 6 to 7 hours and beyond without any discomfort. They look strange but are brilliantly designed. SMP offers a wide range of shapes, widths and padding thicknesses to suit nearly anyone. They also off a demo program. I called them and had then ship me several models. After riding each of them the Drakon was my clear winner. After sending the Demo saddles back they shipped me a new Drakon. I have since ordered a second Drakon for my spin bike.

I love this saddle and can’t stop using them. Super comfortable but I do note that saddles are very personal items. This was the third saddle of theirs I bought. The only problem I have is that the rails on the saddle tend to bend (the first saddle’s rails ended up snapping) I don’t think I’m overly heavy, but I am riding an MTB that tends to bounce a little due to the terrain I ride over. It’s a shame, i wish they’d make the rails stronger.

Il prodotto è di qualità decisamente elevata.I materiali e le finiture sono di pregio.Per chi è alla ricerca della leggerezza, questo modello non è adatto (300 g circa).Non ho ancora percorso molti km ma posso tranquillamente affermare che con il giusto posizinamento (punta leggermente bassa),la sella risulta molto confortevole, tutto il peso viene scaricato sulle ossa ischiatiche, tanto che la zona perineale non subisce nessun tipo di pressione. L'azienda mi è stata di grande aiuto nella scelta del giusto modello rispondendo alle mie mail nel giro di 5/6 giorni. Vale tutti i soldi che l'ho pagata.
