Good, neutral sound. No hearing fatigue even after long listening sessions. Device stays relatively cool. Lots of power. Would definitely buy again.

On cherchait un ampli de qualité hi-fi pour casque.Avis mitigé.Déjà la prise HDMI ne récupère pas le son sorti d'un décodeur TNT ou d'un lecteur de blurays.Pas à notre niveau d'attente en écoute avec casque haut de gamme Focal.On a acheté une Wiim Ultra beaucoup mieux à tous points de vue.On verra pour un usage secondaire ou une revente.

WOW, This SMSL A0300 rocks! I'll start by saying i'm a pro audio engineer and a high end audio video designer programmer as well. I ordered two different Fosi class D amplifiers a BL20A and a higher end BT20A PROI have a set of Theil SCS speakers and a set of KEF IQ1 both bookshelf's, I'm getting audio from my laptop hdmi out to sony bravia 65" to the amplifier via optical out from TV that goes to a digital to analog converter and rca out from there to rca input on the fosi. I didn't even bother using the BL20A even though I liked it had a remote. Anyway, I first hooked up the Theil SCS by themselves and I had to really EQ from my laptop to get the highs up (these speakers don't have the best highs) anyway i started to play them and instantly noticed the bass was distorting and it wasn't even cranked. i cut the bass a bit and they sounded ok. I decided to add the KEF IQ1's in parallel to the Theil SCS to see if that would boost wattage and help with bass distortion. IT DID help but it was no where near what these speakers can put out bass wise. The theils usually push air out of the ports to the point where you can feel it blowing like a fan.I then decided to scrap the fosi amp and I hooked up a old sonos connect amp that I had, it sounded better however at any high volume the sonos would trip into circuit protection. I used it for a bit.I then went back to amazon and started to look for a bit higher priced class D amplifiers found this and liked it had optical in as well as HDMI ARC( I haven't used that yet) I did some research on this AMP and it seems to get rave reviews. now being that im a pro audio engineer I sometimes thinks peoples reviews are not up to par with my standards (the fosi reviews were good too but some did complain about bass being crappy..Anyway, I hooked this amp up with BOTH THEIL SCS and my KEF IQ1's right away.. WOW, the THEILS were pushing air like they should, the sound was WARM FULL BRIGHT CLEAR no SSSSSSSS or TSSSSSSSSS (ds'ing) afterlistening to different music on them I noticed sound form some of the albums that I didnt hear before. I had to cut my EQ because the amp is so precise and clear it doesnt need much.I played with the eq's and the filters. the SDB really is a nice EQ I have it set to setting my own treble and bass settings along with my laptop eq for playing music and bravia eq for watching movies. the one thing I WISH this amp had is a parametric EQ with 20-20khz of trim levels to really tweak it. It's ok though my laptop and bravia tv are fine(I actually barely have them adjusted much since this amp is amazing) I have the filter set to non oversampling to get as pure as i can form any given input, however the fast and low latency sounded really good. im not into manipulating sound that much so..The bluetooth connects well, i did notice the volume levels on bluetooth are lower but not a big deal just turn the volume up to compensate. I will say be careful switching back over to another source after using bluetooth it may or may not be louder and if you do it at high volume you could hurt a voice coil..I just emailed the company to see if they have DISCRETE IR CODES so i can program this remote ir codes into my universal remote MX900 to make things easy..BLOWN AWAY BY THIS AMP I iwll be getting these for my friends now!

The SMSL AO300 is an awesome piece of audio equipment. Very compact with a sleek design & surprisingly easy menu interface. Delivers tons of power to my Magnat Transpuls 1000 & E-MU Teaks. Love how you can change the menu colors too. Sound quality is intensely good. Going from a very nice gaming headphone to this set up is a mind blowing difference. Great deal on this amp too. Very happy with this purchase.
