Excellent CD player/transport for the price! The unit has heft to it, along with the aluminum chassis presents excellent build quality. Some people dislike the graphic on the front, personally, I like it. The buttons are recessed but clicky and the screen is clear and can be easily read from a reasonable listening position. The included remote control is plastic but it has all the available controls. Unfortunately the unit does not come with a power supply but it has a USB-C port for power (5V 2A) and the unit does include a USB type-C to type-C cable as well as a USB type-C to type-A. For reference my unit worked perfectly connected to the USB-A port on my APC surge protector rated for 5V 2A. It has an analogue RCA output (which is not color coded) an optical and a coaxial output, the two latter can be used for connecting to an external DAC for improved sound quality. Overall a great value specially if you would like to incorporate CDs into your exiting system with a small footprint and without breaking the bank.

Alles kam wie angekündigt und gut verpackt. Das Gerät macht einen guten Eindruck und ist zu großen teilen aus Metall.Die Inbetriebnahme war unkompliziert, das Laufgeräusch ist angenehm leise, kaum wahrnehmbar, der Klang über alle 3 Ausgänge (Cinch, Optical, SPDIF) hervorragend. Auch selbstgebrannte CD's scheinen ohne Probleme abgespielt zu werden (was natürlich auch vom Zustand der CD abhängt). Allerdings hatte ich jetzt schon 2 Mal das Problem, das ich den CD Player vom (USB-) Strom trennen musste, weil er plötzlich die CD nicht mehr ausgeben wollte. Zuletzt war aber wieder alles gut. Es gibt übrigens kein USB Netzteil im Paket. Ich hatte noch eins mit 5V/3A, das funktioniert. Schade ist, das - trotz vorhandener, unbelegter Button (FN, DISP) auf der Fernbedienung - es nicht möglich ist, sich die Restzeit anzeigen zu lassen. Vielleicht kann man das ja per Firmware-Update noch nachreichen. Customer Support ist über Amazon auch erreichbar. Ob er z.B. MixCD's gapless abspielt habe ich noch nicht getestet. Insgesamt wegen des Preises trotzdem erstmal 5 Sterne.

Logística impecable, sin detalles , buen empacado y la entrega dentro de la fecha prevista. Me sorprendió la calidad que tiene por el precio, lo recomiendo ampliamente.Nota: antes de comprar o bien para su buen funcionamiento contar con un eliminador o fuente de 2A/5v

Personalmente estoy encantado con el reproductor de CD SMSL PL100, es justo lo que buscaba. Un equipo pequeño que funcione y que tenga salidas de audio suficiente para ser versátil al usarlo con mi DAC externo. No probé sonido de DAC interno, lo tengo conectado a través de cable óptico a mi DAC favorito y suena genial, es rápido en cargar los cds, control remoto con todas las opciones necesarias. Personalmente lo recomiendo para los que tienen poco espacio como yo y necesitan algo práctico con un buen sonido y variedad de conexiones.

This CD player is exactly what I was looking for. I rediscovered my CD and vinyl collections after neglecting them for years. I have a nice record player but no CD player. Everything available seemed to either be a crappy DVD player or an expensive CD player costing ten times the amount. The SMSL solves this issue. It’s inexpensive, and sounds great. Also it loads/reads a CD in seconds, (my DVD would churn away for ages).It’s neat and cute, with a very small footprint so you can put it anywhere. Outputs are phono, and digital which is handy.I did have to buy a power source. But it was just a tenner on Amazon, so it didn’t really impact the cost of the unit. One last thing. Customer service was excellent-(I had a query about colours) which is itself a rarity these days. All in all, highly recommended. But don’t forget to also order a 5V USB C power source. If you’re stuck, just write that into Amazon search bar and you’ll get what you need.
