Background story: I had shoulder pain for years because I bench pressed too hard and my friend didn't catch the bar on time and my shoulder gave out. I tried massotherapy, chiropractic treatment and shoulder exercises/stretches, as well as rest to solve my problem. Nothing really worked and I knew that I just needed a good pillow to support my neck until it recovered properly.I tried numerous pillows to solve this issue and this is the only pillow that actually cured my shoulder/neck pain after a single night's use! The following days have been even better, surprisingly.It is smaller than I expected, but I like it because I can get closer to my wife at night to cuddle her and not worry about having a pillow covering her face when I get closer to her. It also gives room for our cat to join us 🐈Definitely get this pillow. I sleep on my side and sometimes my back. I did not regret my purchase at all! No smell, very comfortable and it got rid of my shoulder/neck pain! It's more affordable than surgery, so it's worth the price

I saw some reviews before purchasing that the pillow was smaller than expected. It is smaller than a standard pillow (about 48×34cm) as I believe is listed in description. So be aware if ur expecting something larger!The pillow itself is great. You can sort of mold it and it does feel like it stays nive and cool all night.

What is not to love about this Sobakawa pillow? This is my second one. The previous I had for 18 years. It is filled with buckwheat hulls so it is pliable and shapable. I have a condition with my neck and regular standard pillows cause me much pain. It took me only one night to get used to it as it being filled with the buckwheat hulls it makes a noise. But once your head is on it, there is no more noise unless you are moving around. I get better support with the Sobakawa and no "wry neck" issues. The pillow does have some weight to it, not lightweight like a foam pillow. Works great for side, back or tummy sleepers. You can adjust the amount of hulls in the pillow as it has a zippered access. Personally, I have tried so many pillows in my lifetime that I had about given up when I came upon the first one I had. This was a definite game changer for me. And yes, there will come a day when you will have to purchase a new pillow. It is after all filled with the buckwheat hulls and over time they will break down. But mine lasted 18 years so I am not complaining one bit.
