Have you looked at the cost of mallets -- regardless of what material is on the striking end(s) -- at the major music retailer websites?!? Wow! Never would've guessed it was, ahem.. not unheard of to pay around $100 for a stick with which to hit cymbals, gongs, xylophones, marimbas, glockenspiels, et al...Anyway, make sure you order two! This item is just a single stick/mallet.So who has romantic notions of performing nice, smooth crescendos on the cymbals he previously used for lampshades around the house with something other than ordinary drumsticks, but then fails to buy a *pair* of them?THIS guy! :-(
