I (still) own and use the Liberty 4 NC earbuds. Here's my review of how the Liberty 5 NC compares to its predecessor:- Liberty 4 sound quality is great for my needs (IMO), but the Liberty 5 is a noticeable improvement- Liberty 4 active noise cancellation was OK-to-good, but the Liberty 5 ANC is noticeably better.- I'm not a fan of the new pinch-based touch controls of the Liberty 5. I'm finding them much less versatile and finnicky. The touch controls of the Liberty 4 NC worked great.I find myself choosing the Liberty 4 when I want to listen to podcasts, as the touch controls of the Liberty 4 are (IMO) much easier to use to skip around a podcast. But if I want to rock out, the Liberty 5 is my choice because of the improved audio.

Für mich haben sie nur einen wesentlichen Makel.Positiv:- Tolles Design- Super Klang (vielseitig einstellbar)- Noise Cancelling, dass in der Bahn fast alles, außer Lautsprecherdurchsagen und Gespräche neben einem, abschirmt. Selbst beim Radfahren hört man kaum Windgeräusche.- Können induktiv geladen werden.Neutral:- Keine Tasten, sondern nur Touchbedienung.Negativ:- Wie bei allen In-ears dauert es ein bisschen bis die Kopfhörer gut sitzen und man den passenden Aufsatz gefunden hat. Was mich allerdings wahnsinnig macht, ist, dass jedes Mal wenn ich die Kopfhörer zurück ins Ohr drücke, meine Wiedergabe pausiert wird. Insbesondere beim Radfahren ist das ultra nervig.Fazit: Die wohl besten In-Ears fürs Geld, die den Spitzenmodellen kaum in etwas nachstehen (getestet mit Bose, Sony und Teufel). Wer mit der Bedienung klarkommt, wird mit ihnen glücklich.

I am a long time Soundcore user including the Liberty Pro 2, A40, Liberty Neo, Q30, Q35, and models I’ve forgotten about. Needless to say I am a fan of Soundcore products, After waiting a long time to see where Soundcore would go with their Liberty Pro lineup I gave up hope that a bud style version would be coming when they released the Liberty 4s in only stem style and same with the 5. Nothing wrong with it, just preference.I gave the Liberty 5 stem style a chance. The sound did not disappoint, and the app is a great feature to the Soundcore system. The easy pairing on Android makes for a great first impression.The default signature sound isn’t what I would prefer but it’s easily adjusted for slightly higher mids with the app. I played with ten Adobe mode and it does seem to improve the sound stage and spacing. Might be interesting for movies and gaming. Mic quality for calls has definitely improved over my older sets.The buds are slim and comfortable and it comes with many size tips. Luckily for me the default ones were just fits perfect. The noise cancellation is good and has no static when turned on without any audio.Now a big issue for me is always the controls. I largely turn off the touch related unit controls because of accidental activation. It’s this reason I skipped the Pro 3. The Liberty 5, however has the squeeze style control. This is less likely to be accidentally activated but it really takes some time to get used to. I still miss the squeeze position sometimes; so I can’t say these are completely intuitive.Another note, because of my long history with soundcore devices, I find that in general they last very long and battery life ages gracefully. What is annoying is that overtime the units will have a harder time connecting and charging with the base. It remains to be seen if the Liberty 5 can avoid this problem. The magnets do seem a bit stonger.One last thing. While I love that we still have a sliding case, the case itself seems to be more slippery compared to the older matted case.All in all, it’s a great set for a reasonable price. Just wished the controls were a bit more accurate.
