Der Schärfer ersetzt meinen 12 Jahre alten baugleichen vom Discounter (damals für 6,99).Er ist recht gut anzuwenden bei Gartenscheren, Heckenscheren, Mähmessern, etc.Für Messer ist er nicht ideal.Die kleine Ölflasche ist immer undicht und klebt daher im Griff gerne fest. Sollte man einfach nicht nutzen.Sonst recht solide, liegt weitaus besser in der Hand als der Sharpal 105.Mein alter Schärfer tut es noch, wollte aber nach 12 Jahren mal einen neuen, und hatte den hier nur hier gefunden.

I have a lot of pruning shears and loppers I use in my garden. Last summer I had noticed that a few pairs were getting a little blunt, and making the job slower and harder. I already have a sharpening tool that I use for my kitchen knives, but I didn’t like the idea of using it to sharpen my garden tools with. So I set about trying to find a smaller more hand held sharpening tool for them and I found this.Spear and Jackson make good quality products, and at less than £4, this tool was just what I was looking for. It is lightweight, easy to hold and feels comfortable in the hand. I have to admit it took me a moment, and a little playing around to figure out the best way to use this, and the right angle to sharpen each tool. Once I figured it out it was plain sailing.With a few swipes back and to, along each cutting edge of the pruners and loppers, the blades were finally sharp again. What a difference it made!I would highly recommend this product to anyone struggling with blunt garden cutting tools. A small inexpensive tool, that is a must for every gardener out there!

I tried it on a few blunt pruners and loppers I have and it sharpened them back to being usable. Pretty straightforward and effective for this price.
