Bought this set of three magnetic socket holders,description said strong magnets but unfortunately they are not,when loaded up with sockets they fall off anything magnetic

The SPEEDWOX socket organizers hold sockets firmly and is easy to get sockets on and off of. In my opinion this is a much better system to work with than the old style stamped steel with sprung steel clips type. I've had a bunch of sockets slip off the end of the other style and had to collect them back up and reassemble it. Sometimes the socket size markings end up not facing out on the older style and you end up pulling the socket off just to see what size it is.The channels are extruded aluminum and more rigid. There's end stops to keep the clips from falling off the ends like the other style. The socket mounts appear to be made from a high strength plastic with a captive metal ball. They seem durable enough and provide a proper amount of friction for getting sockets on and off without having to fight with them. I am also able to spin them in place if the writing isn't visible to check I'm grabbing the size I want. This is a nice feature in that you can easily line up all the sizes facing forward for the next time you go to find a specific size socket.They are magnetic and I don't have an issue with them sticking to the side of my tool chest when filled with standard sockets. The magnets probably work event better standing upright in a metal drawer just to keep from shuffling around. Possibly for deep impacts or heavier sockets the magnets may not be strong enough to hold from the side. There are mounting holes on the ends caps if the intent is to mount it more permanently. For me they just sit in a tool drawer so the mounting isn't critical although I could see me attempting to stick a set close to a job I'm working on if the magnets will hold it there although that's not a feature I was looking for.

The build quality of the Speedwox socket holders is really excellent. The base is aluminum, in interesting colors, and the individual socket holders are durable. The holders grip the sockets well but are designed to allow for easy removal. They also turn and slide for ease of storage. The magnets are great to hold the organizers in place when in my drawer, and there are useful holes if you want to hang them vertical. Unfortunately, due to the weight when fully loaded, the magnets will not keep it secure to the side of my box (which should be expected). Functionally is very good. Great value for money.
