Worn around my waist below my PFD. Double seals kept my phone dry during snorkelling. Not terribly huge on space, but still of excellent value.

This fanny pack is indeed waterproof! I put inside the pouch my Austrian compact semiautomatic life-saving device and went for a swim in the sea. After about 30 minutes of swimming and playing in the seawater, the device was absolutely dry. Another day I used the pouch with my SUBcompact life-saving device, and there was enough space for an ID card and a car key. All this was also dry. So this part works as expected and even better. Not like the cheap knock-offsThe downside of this item is a belt. It's too elastic. Co even without anything inside it sinks down a bit, let along with a pound of weight. And when I ran 1.5 miles, a full pouch kept hopping up and down, which was extremely annoying. So what I will have to do is to remove the original elastic belt with another one from another fanny pack. I guess it will solve the problem.
