Yes, this is probably one of the best PFDs out there. Just one problem—This item is not USCG approved (ISO 12402-3 doesn’t cut it). That’s a serious problem if you have a U.S. flagged boat in the state of Michigan, and you are using this item to satisfy the law. You WILL get fined if boarded, and, yes the authorities will check the label for USCG approval. Spinlock, I have learned, does produce the same PFD as a USCG compliment PFD. Since this bit of extremely important info wasn’t mentioned by Amazon, how about offering to exchange it for the USCG approved version.
