NOT appropriate for anything but thin cut pine. Drill head just sticks in oak and then harms your drill and horribly twists your wrist. HUGE SAFETY HAZARD. Unless you need to split pine boards, you risk SERIOUS WRIST HARM. I tried the product on more than 10 split and dried oak. I had to use an ace every time to extract the drill head! DANGEROUS PRODUCT. Do not buy.

Despite buying a bigger drill this did not split logs as shown. It almost broke my wrist! Jamming in the log. May work on rotten or soft wood but not on hardwood logs.
