I bought this jump rope to change up cardio routine. The rope itself is very sturdy with a small plastic sleeve in the middle to protect the rope from wearing out.At first the plastic sleeve bugged me but now I appreciate the fact that it will extend the life of the rope with it constantly hitting the ground. The rope has a good weight for beginners and the handles are nice and sturdy.For reference, I am 5'10" tall and the length of the rope was just right.I don't think there is a better jump rope out there for the price honestly.

Cheap rope, cheaper handles. The grips are made of brittle plastic with some sort of foam covering it. Rope is extremely light which is pretty cool. Comes with a rubber/plastic sleeve so the bottom of the rope doesn't chafe while it hits the floor. Too expensive for what you're buying

The plastic adjustable rings: 1) do not adequately spin to keep rope from tangling and 2) do not adequately grip the rope to keep the adjusted length. There are other adjustable designs that have berings that sit in the handles in the right way to keep the rope spinning. These just get stuck in the handles making an inefficient/impossible jump rope experience!
