Hiding your keys and valuables in the cupboard, this is much the same ,but in a false sprinkler and is probably intended for house keys should you forget them.It does seem a good idea, especially when I ordered it. Build wise the moulding is good, no defects, flaws, holes or shorts. The black plastic cylinder has a screw-thread cap and does look like a sprinkler head, a hook and clip hangs from inside the cap, obviously intended to hand a small key from it, it will definitely take a Chubb, Yale or mortice lever lock inside.The cap however isn't sealed with rubber or other sealing features so you may anticipate damp or water ingression which may cause a problem if the key rusts because of such ingress, so I would recommend you water-proof/seal the cap joint ( the screw thread doesn't cover the full perimeter of the cap either, so more water risk.So nothing not to like as long as you seal it and position it appropriately, but obviously you must be someone who doesn't mind leaving a house key outside, in the middle of a lawn or garden, probably in plain view, with other sprinklers to give a good reason to be there so it can hide in plain sight. The alternative use is a spy's deal-letter drop in the middle of a park. I can now see how a bean tin may be a more appropriate method, if you are in the habit of forgetting your keys. Nice idea, but consider your practicality first- it ides have limited applications.
