For those of you who own a Ryobi RS290 orbital sander and have had to replace the backing pad, this Metaboo pad fits just fine. The best price I could find for a Ryobi backing pad for my sander was about $20. For $10 more I could have bought the whole same sander new. I took a chance on this pad for about $12. The holes line up perfectly. The openings for the attaching screw heads are a little tight but set in with a little effort and no alterations. If I used the sander more it probably would have been wise to scrap the old one and buy something new but this Metabo pad has given new life to my Ryobi sander. Besides, I had a supply of hook and loops pads for the thing and I didn't want to waste them.I just received the pad today and wanted to post this review. Oddly enough, it is temporarily unavailable on Amazon. If they get it back, it will be good news for Ryobi owners.
