Ich hatte den Ventilator aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen und dem außergewöhnlichen Design bestellt.Der Ventilator kommt in mehreren Teilen und muss mit Hilfe eines Kreuzschlitzschraubendrehers zusammen gebaut werden. Dies war relativ einfach, zeigte jedoch schon das erste Problem:Die zwei Gitterhälften ließen sich nicht spielfrei montieren. Sie werden nur durch eine kleine Schraube und mehrere kleine Scharniere zusammen gehalten. Die Passgenauigkeit war hier sehr schlecht und das Gitter klapperte.Außerdem hatten einige Bauteile bereits kleine Beschädigungen in der Oberfläche. Ob dies vom Hersteller so ausgeliefert wurde oder ob ich bereits benutzte Ware erhalten haben, kann ich nicht sagen. Für letztere Möglichkeit spricht, dass der Motor des Ventilators etwas laienhaft und notdürftig verpackt war.Nach der kompletten Montage konnte ich das einzig positive feststellen: Ja, er sieht gut aus.Nun folgte der erste Testlauf und gleich die nächste Enttäuschung. Auf Stufe 1 lief der Motor irgendwie unrund und der Geräuschpegel war relativ laut und dumpf. Jetzt ist es ja immer schwer zu beschreiben was „laut“ oder „leise“ ist, aber vielleicht hilft folgende Aussage: Bei einem Vergleich mit einem vorhandenen Tischventilator aus dem Baumarkt, konnte man sehr deutliche Unterschiede feststellen. Das günstige „Baumarkt-Teil“ war in Stufe 2 leiser und angenehmer als der Charly in Stufe 1! Bei Stufe 2 und 3 kam dann noch dazu, dass die klapprigen Metallgitter in Schwingung versetzt wurden und damit die Geräuschkulisse ins Unerträgliche steigerten.Beim anschließenden Rückbau wurde nochmal peinlichst darauf geachtet ob ich vorher alles richtig und vollständig montiert hatte. Ja, einen Montagefehler kann ich ausschließen. Also Retoure an den Händler! Bleibt die Erkenntnis, dass hier Design für einen stolzen Preis verkauft und augenscheinlich kein Wert auf Qualitätskontrolle gelegt wird.

I have been using this fan for a week and so far so good.It looks very smart and it is more than powerful enough for a small room.It has three speeds and it oscilates.You need to assemble it but the assembly is easy and they planned it in a very clever way.The fan comes with a UK plug so you don't need adaptors. I guess that the higher price is what you pay for a choice thatalso considers the aesthetics.Designed in Switzerland but made in China...

ho impiegato tempo per cercare un ventilatore efficace e silenzioso per far circolare l'aria in cantina, dove ho salumi da far asciugare e ventilare; questo funziona egregiamente, meglio di quanto attesa, senza confronti con uno precedente (peraltro più economico)

I absolutely love the design and idea of this fan but there are a couple main reasons why I decided to return it. There are 3 boxes holding this awesome looking fan : retail box, factory shipping box and then Amazons shipping box. THERE IS NO TEXTURED POWER CORD [it's as thick as a 6 outlet extension cord]. What you don't see is the cord placement coming out of the fan. Looking at Charly straight on, envision a clock with the minute hand on the :28 mark.You are greeted by a friendly note, "Meet your new Cool Roommate!" Cute. When I pulled the fan parts out and started piecing the item together I noticed the fan blades were dented and a little warped. Everything was packaged nicely so this must have occurred when the item was placed in the box at the factory. The fan is attached by 3 twist-ties to the back piece during shipment and that were 3 small indents from the blade being in that position for so long.I carefully bent the blade back into shape in line with the other blades that were not bent and finished putting everything together. With the exception of other indents and some very small dings, you would never notice I had that issue with the blades, until you turned it on. The small dents and indentations were made obvious when the fan was turned on and sounded like a small-plane motor.The reviews about this fan being overly powerful were no joke. The lowest setting feels like a medium-high [7 or 8 setting] from an old Lasko box fan I had as a child [I was tempted to start speaking into it as to alter my voice, ha!] I turned Charly on high and I immediately envisioned a Cessna motor engine starting up, so much power!That's perfect but not for me. I placed the fan in my bedroom on low to get a feel of how it will be when sleeping and I could not do it.. The 'white noise' from this fan on low and with the blade issue I had just killed it for me and I was a little sad that the power cord was not really a textured power cord... They should probably remove that from the listing.In all honesty, I would give Charly another chance but for now... The timing is off. Sorry bud, I'll miss you.

The design and quality of the item is great, usual StadlerForm. The only problem was that the fan broke soon after I had first plugged it in and fturned it on. It burnt out and stopped working within seconds. When I read the product sticker on the fan, it stated input voltage of 120V which is NOT COMPATIBLE with Australia (where I reside). The fact that the item only works with this input voltage is not stated anywhere in the item description, and this was on Amazon Australia. I am in the process of returning the item (I have thrown out the original box packaging), and request a refund for this once done. I would not have purchased this had I known it was 120V, and this vital piece of information is not stated in the item description.
