I've been using it to revive an heirloom hand plane and it is working perfectly, but you have to pay attention to the placement of blades in the jig. And to use it you need to start out thinking patience and persistence. Sliding iron or steel against a rock or abrasive is not a five-minute chore.

Works very well, helps keep my chisels sharp. I wish it came with a little bit more oil but oh well not a big deal
