Great tool, but a little big, even though I have relatively big hands. So therefore afterwards I ordered the classic one as well. Now I have 3:> this one for carpets> the classic metal one for quick reliable precision work> a retractable one for if I need to cut soft long materialBecause this one lies slightly uncomfortable in my hand, but does the job, I removed one star in the rating.

Das Messer liegt gut in der Hand und durch die leicht verlängerte und angewinkelte Klingenposition kommt man gut in alle Ecken zum schneiden.Allerdings sitzt die Klinge ein bisschen zu fest in der Führung, so dass man beim Ein- und Ausfahren für meinen Geschmack etwas zu viel Kraft aufwenden muss. Hier kann man aber die Führung leicht abfeilen und das Problem beheben.Zum Klingenwechsel kann das Messer durch Drehen der großen Schraube einfach mit einer Hand geöffnet werden und im Griff ist auch noch Platz für Ersatzklingen inkl. Spender.

This is a fantastic knife. The build quality of this knife is far better then the Stanley knives we can buy here in Canada ( I think they are made in China). I have been using these Fatmax knives for 10 yrs but here in Canada you cant find this particular model with the retractable blade, so I was specifically searching online for this type. Normally I wouldnt buy something from 3rd party sellers especially when it has an almost 4 week delivery estimate but I really wanted this particular knife and it is the only place I could find it, as far as I could search these are not available in North America. When the knife arrived I noticed the metal it was made of is far more heavy duty, the machining of the parts is of great quality and strength, when I looked at the label I noticed it was made in Belgium. I would def buy this product if you are looking for a knife that will last for years.

These are THE BEST knives for cutting any materials! Love the long handle with the inverted nose to keep your knuckles from scraping, and the materials used are unmatched! These have been my favorite knives on the market for many years!

Solido, completamente in “acciaio” anche i meccanismi..comoda la calamita che tiene in posizione la lama quando si cambia, sarebbe comoda una calamita anche per il portalame nel manico
