Very practical, precise, robust.

Een speciaal markeer mes voor hout vind ik niet fijn werken. Toen ik zag dat Paul Sellers dit mesje gebruikt wilde ik het ook wel proberen. bevalt goed.

Afgekeken van Paul Sellers, en is voor dat doel ook prima geschikt. Wel niet het veiligste mes dat je ooit gezien hebt.

Bought this because Peter Sellers uses it.. so it must be practical. While I like the size, and it does what what is should (mark wood, sometimes cut something), its not really handy to open and close. Open requires you go grab a small area which is not easy if you happen to have your anti-cut gloves on, but closing it is my main complaint: the alignment is loose enough that the blade will hit the side of the casing in most cases, unless you carefully watch what you are doing... its not so bad, just a bit annoying.I still recommend it as a good value for the price.

Disappointed by the quality from Stanley. So it is either over priced or cheap made. You decide. It came fully scratched in the back.

I have had the 10-049 US version of this knife for several years. I use it to mark the base lines for hand cut dove tails along with knife walls for various purposes when doing joinery cuts using hand saws (a-la Paul Sellers). I was going to purchase a circle marking gauge for marking the base lines for the dove tails but decided to give this knife a try. My concern with the circle marking gauge was the sharpening of the cutters and finding replacements. I must say I do like the smaller size of this knife and thiner smaller blades. I feel like the smaller narrower blades give me better visibility when marking and create a thiner cutline resulting in cleaner dovetails. Besides the ability to resharpen the blades of these knives while still in the handle. I was also able to pickup a package of 50 replacement blades for the this 10-598 for about $25, which will literally last me a lifetime

Questo è il coltellino a serramanico che usa Paul Sellers per tracciare sul legno. Incredibile precisione e ottima fattura, dotato di lama di ricambio. Sicuramente un ottimo rapporto qualità/ prezzo.

Ich bin durch den Kanal von Paul Sellers - einen der wohl bekanntesten Woodworking-Kanäle auf Youtube - auf dieses Messer gestoßen; P.S. - ein Profi mit mehr als 50 Jahren Berufserfahrung - verwendet es zum Anreißen und Markieren. Dafür eignet sich dieses Messer ideal; weil die Klinge so dünn und schmal ist, verläuft sie auch bei wilder Maserung bei Schnitten längs der Faser nicht, aufgrund ihrer Schärfe durchtrennt sie die Fasern zuverlässig, wenn man quer dazu schneidet. Das Messer ist leicht und liegt extrem gut in der Hand. Um diesen Preis bekommt man sicher nichts Vergleichbares; die Klingen sind natürlich teurer als "normale" Cutterklingen, aber man kann sie auch nachschleifen. Mein ursprüngliches Vorhaben, ein japanisches Anreißmesser zu erwerben, hab ich jedenfalls ad acta gelegt - besser kann's nicht sein. Selten, dass ich von einem Produkt so begeistert war.

Wow, it's sharp and just the correct size for marking out. The blade storage and folding are good the quality of this Stanley is very good.
