La squadra in oggetto è arrivata fuori squadro di circa 3mm alla fine dell'asta. Il prodotto era in principio made in England ma oggi è made in China. I materiali sembrano tuttavia buoni, la squadra è pesante e robusta ed il meccanismo di fissaggio dell'asta alla base è solido, una volta avvitata non fa gioco. Per la messa a punto ho proceduto come segue: tolgo l'asta dalla base; sulla base, dove appoggia l'asta, nella fessura della guida, ci sono due spessorini rialzati alle estremità, sui quali poggia l'asta, ho ridotto lo spessore di uno dei pin con la lama di una sega per ferro in modo da correggere lo squadro. Chiaramente bisogna accertarsi di tarare lo strumento con un piano di cui si ha l'assoluta certezza dello squadro. Il corpo non presenta un'ottima rifinitura nei bordi del corpo in ghisa ma non penso sia importante. In definitiva, se si può tararla, è un prodotto molto valido.

Hatte nach einer etwas preisgünstigeren Variante des Starrett gesucht, da ich 100 € für einen Kombiwinkel doch recht sportlich finde. Dieser hier ist super präzise, der Gusskopf ist schwer und liegt toll in der Hand, die Anlegeflächen sind absolut plan. Diese werden anscheinend nach dem Guss abgerichtet, was dazu führt, dass die Kanten recht scharf sind. Da müsste man wenn man die Haptik dem Starrett anglichen möchte, einfach einmal kurz mit einer Schlüsselfeile über den Grat ziehen. Ebenso lässt sich die Feststellschraube etwas hakelig lösen, wenn man sie ganz fest zieht. Dies liegt hier daran, dass der Lack etwas gelaufen war und dieser eben die Schraube klemmt. Einfach mit der Feile etwas planen und schon passt das wunderbar. Toll ist die Skala in Inch und cm. Wenn man viel zwischen den Maßen springt ist das ein großer Vorteil auf die Umrechnungstabelle verzichten zu können. Tolles Werkzeug, was man in 5 Minuten zum absoluten Premiumprodukt aufhübschen kann. Wem das zu viel ist, muss 60 € mehr ausgeben und ein Starrett kaufen.

This is a very good quality combination square from Stanley. OK this may not be in the same league as the Starrett combination squares, but then you are not paying close to 5x the price either.This model - the "Rabone" 0-46-151, is perfect for the majority of users and better than the cheaper Stanley model (STA246028) and miles better than the cheap copies from your typical DIY sheds. It is solid and made from cast iron and the stainless steel rule is etched with imperial/metric graduations in mm & cm and inch and 1/8" and 1/16".The rule can also be taken out and reversed depending on your scale preference. The brass nut has to be tightened securely otherwise the rule will slip. But hopefully this will wear in after use. There is also a small level which is handy but not really necessary for this type of tool. The embedded scribe at the end is almost impossible to take out and could easily be misplaced. An accurate tool for any DIY'er or carpenter. Recommended.

I've wanted one of these for a while and not disappointed.Arrived the next day, two days earlier than expected, which is always a good start. Opening up I was greeted with the lovely smell of oil, another good sign. So acid test is it accurate?You bet it's accurate!True square and a perfect 45° - excellent result!So all together great value, it'll be well used; great prompt service; super accuracy and a happy man with a new quality tool this morning.
