I have had a a Pop-Rivet tool for as long as I can remember and I would not be surprised if my first was purchased in 1960 something. During this pandemic, I have found myself fixing things that I would normally just throw away and pick up a new one at the store and it is amazing how many things breakdown when you are trying to isolate. My Pop-Rivet tool was ancient and I needed to fix something that was difficult to replace. Stanley is a good name brand and Amazon has been my hardware store of choice since last March so I ordered a new one and some rivets, as well.I ordered based on earliest promised delivery and without any effort on my part the orders were combined into one delivery which came a day earlier than promised. The tool is much more sturdy than those from "olden times" and did the job. The items were competitively priced, maybe not the absolutely lowest but are of good quality and value. I am satisfied all around.

The aluminum pop rivets are truly ALL aluminum. Many "aluminum" pop rivets are aluminum with a steel pull rod, but these pass the magnet test. Good for preventing corrosion. Quality appears to be good... Perfect for replacing tube sockets on an old amplifier with an aluminum chassis, especially where things are too tight for screws and lock washers (just use these to replace the output tube sockets on a Sears Silvertone)-- or especially when things need to be secured blind.The packaging is not really reusable, even though these appear to be in a segmented reusable package-- it will close loosely, but better to sort the rivets into their own containers if you don't want to them to get all mixed...up or wind up all over the bottom of your parts drawer.

The Stanley pop rivets are good quality but they're also the only rivets I've ever used. I've had no issues with them using them with metal and plastic. Don't forget to pick up matching backup plates in cause your hole is bigger than 1/8". That means if you pickup this pack of 1/8" diameter rivets, get the 1/8" backers.This variety pack is good to start with because it has a couple different rivet lengths (1/8", 1/4and 3/8") and it also has a mix of aluminum and steel rivets. You'll need the aluminum rivets for anywhere that may lead to rust.5 stars because I can't find any fault with the rivets.

They work okay but you really have to make sure the size of the holes are just barely bigger than the rivet as when it "bends/expands" the base to secure it in place it merely bulges it. Could be a problem with my riveting tool as I'm not a professional but I've only gotten the rivets to work in about 50% of my needs and just turned to bolts or screws otherwise.
