I bought this for its accuracy over electronic devices. No worry about the battery going dead or any shift in the measurement.

Got this to complement my tools. Got it out today to measure some pipes and clamps. Worked great.

These are made in China, but they are made to Starrett's usual level of quality. No issues or complaints with them. If you want Starrett quality but can't afford the made in USA ones, these will do.
