Starrett 565D Drive Pin Punch

These are great punches from Starrett. I've had several letdowns with their products here in the last few years but glad to say that they're still doing their punches top notch. Great steel, crisp knurling, and well machined all around. After over 20 years I've been gradually replacing some old punches and Starrett is still doing a great job with them, still made in the US.

I buy Starrett whenever I can because their tools are always of very good quality.

No idea who's grand idea it was to label this punch with 1/16 in the name. Nothing is 1/16 about it. However, it is still Starret, and a popular ar punch to have, so I am less upset. However, it should be highly noted, this is a 5/32. Whoever in their infinite wisdom named this, should reconsider said arrangement of words.

These Starrett punches are great. I bought several different sizes and I have to say, I was surprised and very pleased with the quality. You can find cheaper but if you want a solid product at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend the Starrett punches.

Excellent punch, with quality knurling and a fine ground finish. I do find the thin ones bend easily if you don't hit them squarely and with a bit too much force. Which thankfully happens infrequently.
