This is the style of cord you need to replace a frayed or damaged ETX cord. It works perfectly although it isn't as pretty as the original coiled cord.

This is a console cable people - not a network cable. It will not work as a network cable as some people have complained.It is also a Roll Over cable - meaning the wires are reversed on each plug.
