Met de SAT2IDEADP SATA-naar-IDE-harde-schijfadapter kunt u uw 2,5/3,5 inch IDE gebaseerde (PATA) harde schijven gebruiken in de meeste op SATA gebaseerde [%group id="98" text="harde schijf docking and kopieerstation"%] van StarTech.com De SATA-IDE-adapter bestaat uit een volledig metalen constructie, waardoor hij zeer sterk is en volledig compatibel is met IDE harde schijven tot ATA-133 (133 MB/s).
Dankzij het unieke ontwerp kan de SATA/IDE adapter eenvoudig op een IDE/ATA harde schijf of in een SATA dockingbay worden geplaatst voor snelle en gemakkelijke toegang tot gegevens van oudere harde schijven. De adapter dient ook voor de installatie van IDE harde schijven in desktopcomputers die uitsluitend met SATA werken of voor alle andere scenario's waarbij een IDE-harde schijf op een seriële ATA moet worden aangesloten.

Llevaba tiempo buscando un adaptador de IDE a SATA para un disco duro antiguo, y esta me parecio la mejor acabada, precio muy bueno y funciona correctamente. La compre para utilizarla con la base y funciona correctamente, ademas de entrar bien.

... die Kabellagen nicht in den Bereich umd die Buchsen passen. da man die Adapterverwenden muss. Und: Je länger die Halterung, um so mehr wackelt es. ATA-Plattenkönne ausserdem schwer sein.

As always this item is of high quality which I have come to expect from Startech.com. I have purchased several cables and silicone hard drive covers from them and they are all top quality, yes you may pay a little more but it's worth it. They really do make the hard to find easy as per their logo ! The device worked straight out of the box, I just connected the relevant cable for my type of drive ( 2 different sorts of cables are provided), plugged it all in, secured it with the screws provided, slotted it in my SATA hard-drive dock and it worked flawlessly . I now have an additional 500 GB hard drive to use. Brilliant item that I would highly recommend. If like me you have some old rescued PC IDE hard drives gathering dust that you can give a new lease of life too.

Arrived 1 day ahead of schedule. It works perfectly in the Xiaobi Dual Bay SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station for 2.5 or 3.5'' HDD to access my old IDE 250GB Seagate HDD. I was also able to use this to connect the IDE 250GB to my current but old Asus P5K motherboard , clone the larger boot drive to the smaller IDE 250GB drive and finally boot from the IDE 250GB HDD through the StarTech SATTA to IDE device. This was all done on Windows XP Pro 64 running on the old Asus P5K motherboard (over 10 years old) with no IDE ports. For me with my old OS and old hardware, this adapter is a fantastic investment, of course it's only the first day. Now I have a fully bootable clone of my operating system.
