If you're looking at this, you probably want to hook up an old mechanical keyboard to your computer, like a Model M.Most simple PS/2 adapters don't work with the Model M, but I can confirm that this one does. I used it successfully with my 1991 IBM Model M SSK.

Needed to connect a old PC with separate PS/2 connectors for mouse and keyboard to a Belkin 4 port KVM switch that doesn't have any PS/2 inputs, only USB. The cheap PS/2 to male USB connectors didn't work and this was my only hope.At first I couldn't get it to work with the KVM in that selecting the PC in question on the KVM no activity apparent from the keyboard or the mouse, but after power cycling the KVM it all works fine.Expensive solution but it works which is the main thing.Use in conjunction to a Male-Male USB cable.

Exactly the same issue as the previous review, after trying every method to get a USB KVM working on a system that didn't recognise anything connetced..Worked perfectly, Startech USB KVM, Startech KVM cable connected to this to the PS2 inputs..Note though it is a VERY expensive way to get a keyboard working..

Prodotto di buona qualita' ad un prezzo equo, adattatore e convertitore. Confermo le impressioni avute anche da altri clienti: innanzitutto il funzionamento che e' perfetto rispetto agli adattatori che han sempre dato problemi. Poi in particolare confermo le impressioni di 'smz del 13 aprile 2015' che cito:"il connettore ed il cavetto (fornito) per il collegamento ad un header USB della motherboard *NON SONO POLARIZZATI* e bisogna prestare la *massima* attenzione al senso di inserimento" e "il connettore alternativo (per il collegamento ad una porta USB sul pannello esterno) è di tipo "A" (ragionevolmente dovrebbe essere di tipo "B") e quindi per collegarlo alla USB esterna servirebbe un cavetto USB A-A, che non è usuale e non è dato in dotazione" (soluzione che ho adottato io, perche' gia' l'avevo..). In piu' devo aggiungere che il lamierino della porta ps2, non potendo sfruttare l'appoggio della scheda che di solito va in uno slot, risulta debole e con la pressione dell'inserimento degli spinotti, tende a piegarsi, cosa che mi ha costretto ad una modifica per rinforzarlo. Ma, anch'io, superate queste difficolta', sono comunque soddisfatto del prodotto che ha risolto egregiamente il mio problema.
