I used to use a spare petri dish to wash small parts in some solvent. It fit the needs pretty well - it was low and wide so you didn't need much solvent, but pouring the solvent back out was messy. This recrystallization dish is about the same diameter, has taller sides, and features a pour spout. If you ask me, that's a pretty good improvement. Would buy again.

I have bought a lot of chemistry equipment from this company and I've never had any broken items come as usually their packaged very well and just like all the other items from this company they seem to be fairly decent quality. If you need a crystallizing dish for your chemistry experiments this will work fine for you.
