Whether or not this pump works well is irrelevant when the manufacturer fails to provide appropriate instructions for use. The manual included is text-only, and references parts of the device which are not necessarily obvious to the user as no labelled diagram is included. The manual instructs you to discard the filter cap, but then in the next point tells you to replace the filter cap. There are a number of glaring omissions which mean there is no way this device can be used safely other than by someone who is familiar with this specific model. If the implication is that StonyLab are happy for their customers to just employ a bit of "trial and error" with their pump, then this product should be withdrawn from sale until such time as StonyLab can be bothered to write accurate instructions. Totally shameful.

followed the manual on start up by filling with oil and removing the breather plug. started the pump up and it made a lot of noise then popped and started smoking.
