Very good Item but three facts :- the picture is not adequate : it shows a standalone device BUT it is an internal drive (that you can always put in an external case if you find one.- it is true, it does not reads, unfortunately, LTO-6 tapes- it is a quantum branded drive (not an IBM or an HPE)To install it properly, you will need an HBA SAS 2 extension card (refurbished raid with a clean firmware that allows a no raid-config, like LSI or Broadcomm) HBA SAS 3 should be OK. The trickiest part is to find a single or dual channel that has one end like SAS HDD and splits on one side the power input and the other the SAS data inferface.Or you can go rogue, like I did... took an old refurbished LTO-6 external UNITEX, removed the (IBM) drive and put in the Quantum one... works like a charm in USB 3.0 or in SAS 2The price is quite fair but you do not have any adaptor cables ... and I do not much Desktop computer with integrated SAS interfaces... so a cable should have been furnished for 2 bucks... it would not have killed them.The box is not brown, so OEM does not really apply, and this item is not registered as spare part... since you have a Datastor Bundle Voucher with.Although I do think many people are interested with that Voucher since it only allows you to backup your server to the tapes witth a verry sluggish and flawed product (Datastor is barely compatible with WinSTD 2022)
