Enkele belangrijke tips over het boren van roestvrij staal en hard metaal:
(1) Het uitvoeren van het stapbeetje bij Lage Snelheden en het gebruiken van een beetje geschikte scherpe vloeistof (Boormetaal) zal de levensduur verlengen.
(2) Het toevoegen van snijvloeistof, motorolie of water om te voorkomen dat het roestvrij staal oververhit raakt en een zeer harde oxidelaag vormt. Het werkt ook het toevoegen van wat azijn, sojasaus als je geen snijvloeistof hebt.

I am a Journeyman sheet metal worker (retired). I had my tools stolen and I needed a uni-bit for stainless. Good thing: it starts itself. That first penetration takes a bit of time ( keep the oil up!) but once it does it really rips. Be careful that once the hole is started slow the speed and lighten up on the pressure, Otherwise this will bite hard and possibly warp your work (and hurt your wrist) depending on thickness. I was drilling a 18 ga. backsplash. I got a few minor distortions because this bit bit hard. The trim piece for my faucet covered them. I have had other cobalt bits before but this is the best.

How often do you spend £30 on a drill bit?If it cuts like this one does then I'd ensure a quality spend any day as it's value for money.Used to cut through 6mm steel bulkhead on a narrow boat for an isolator switch install in a difficult position.Absolutely brilliant bit of kit, large pilot hole first then cutting oil and a steady drill speed made a 26mm hole with ease.Apart from a few scratch marks the cutter still looks brand new, I hope to use it for many more hole drillings in the future.I've used the cheaper version with their goldish coating before and can honestly say they are rubbish compared to this.
