Install was simple enough with no instructions as long as you are not a daft troglodyte. I did not have to remove the mirror from the windshield, however unbeknownst to some of these other reviewers a rear view mirror can be removed by unscrewing a torque screw. The only downside is now I cannot flip down my sun panels. Not a big dear bc I rarely used them. The fact that I can see the contents of my truck bed, kayak trailer, as well as out of my passenger and driver window, all from the rear view mirror makes up for no sun panels.
