Please don't use plain tap water, the chlorine will kill the enzymes in the dunks. Always use filtered water from a really good garden filter like Boogie Brew or Frizzle RV (avoid Camco, very poor quality as I found the hard way). I soak 1/4 chunk of these for about an hour in a one gallon sprinkle head watering can to activate. For easy removal I place the chunk in a course filter mesh bag. While waiting for it to activate I throughly water my plants then stir the water and only sprinkle the top of the soil, no need to saturate because it's a waste to do otherwise. This kills the larvae of mosquitoes and gnats and any other pesky flying bugs. Does NOT kill adults. If you have an infestation, repeat every 3 days after lightly watering the top of the soil before sprinkling this on again. Do it for about 10 days then every 2 wks. I do this with brand new soil knowing within a few days I'll have the flying pests from the soil. Miracle Gro is the worst offender but I've found them in pretty much all new soil. I do it right after it rains too to conserve water and when it seems like the skeeters really come out for a fresh meal. Also sprinkle it on all your rained on wet bushes. If you do this all summer you'll have far less bugs. Won't hurt adult earth worms but don't know about earth worm larvae. I've heard ppl say it'll kill the invasive jumping worm larvae. Bottom line, if you haven't figured it out, we love this stuff. Adding a 1/8 chunk to birdbaths or any standing water where mosquitoes breed will wipe them out.

Hace falta esperar más meses para confirmar la efectividad del sistema que evita mosquitos en zonas con agua estancada, pero 3 meses después de usarlo no se observan mosquitos cuando en otras zonas donde no se ha usado abundan. Queda esperar si la propuesta sigue siendo funcional durante todo el periodo estival hasta octubre.

great product appeared to work straight away.Update:- 3/06/20 just finished this card of dunks, only use on a large Koi pond to maintain, all the aquatic bugs ( mozzies, black, fruit flies etc.... ) Again only use in the spring/summer here in the UK, very temperature dependant, but they certainly break up the life cycles, I bought an expensive U/V, professional light tube zapper, before finding these! The zapper has not been used for years?The downside is that the product only appears to be available in USA? So the price with shipping, has more than doubled? Why? This makes them prohibitive now. Looks like the Zapper will make a comeback!!!
