I have several sun hats, but none that protect my neck. I got the Sunday Afternoons Women's Vaporlite Cape Cap to fill that gap and it's been a great success. The hat is convertible; you can fold the flaps into a zippered compartment. They're out of your way when not needed or when you want the hat to look like a regular baseball cap.This is a good quality item. The fabric is light and durable, the stitching is even with no skips, and the snaps are attached securely. The tab for adjustments is sturdy, although the plastic clasp could be heavier without affecting the weight or comfort of the hat. The hat works as expected and looks good.

This is a well made cap and the design is neat that the flaps can zip back into the hat so no having to carry them around separately. I have a big head but this cap still fits comfortably. I do wish it had more sun protection coverage, the brim is small for me (older Asian lady) and the sides of the flaps still leave space where the evil sun can penatrate and hit the sides of your face. For most people though it would be ample coverage and of course keeps the sun off your neck.

This is my third Sunday Afternoon hat. They are really nice. There is a lot of details in the design. Like openings for sunglass arms to hold them above the brim when you go inside or not on your face. So many other cool details. This one is very light weight. I have a larger head and it fits me. The brim has a reflective material to reduce the sun on your face. The neck protection flap can be rolled up and zipped up in the brim. I use mine while in the pool to protect my face and neck from sunburn. They repel water well. The only bad thing I can say is there is no chin strap, I find them annoying but on a windy day they work. Pale gray color outside, with a pixel type pattern, dark blue/gray inside. Would travel well.

This is a nice lightweight hat for sun protection. It has a cover for the neck and sides of the head. You can roll it up and lock in the special compartment, so the hat would look like a regular cap. The fabric is very lightweight and feels breathable. It doesn't protect your face from sun coming for 45 degrees angle, sadly, I wish the cape part was wider

This does keep the sun off of your face and neck. The neck flaps and fold into the hat if you want. Theres even a place to keep your sunglasses if it gets cloudy. The hat has zippers on each side where the flaps can be stored or to give air vents to the hat to keep your head cool. Well made and good design.
